Hi everybody
Our development team are currently using PrimeFaces 6.2 and they experienced a problem where by they couldn't download the jar from our Artifactory system. That led me to notice that the 6.2 jar they were pulling via the pom file was taken from bintray's repo.
When I cross checked this with PrimeFaces own repo, I realised that PrimeFaces.org had 6.2 RC1 and 6.2 RC2 whereas bintray simple had a simple jar as version "6.2".
Initially I thought that the 6.2 hosted in bintray might tally up to one of the release candidates hosted on the PrimeFaces repo but after comparing them with Beyond Compare, it does not seem to be the case.
Does anybody know what the 6.2 release on bintray is the equivalent of on PrimeFaces?
My gut feeling at the minute is to tell the team to update their dependency declaration and point it to 6.2 RC2 on repository.primefaces.org but as they are currently using the 6.2 on bintray and are a considerable way through the development of a project, I just need to make sure this guidance doesn't end up breaking something on them. From a security point of view it makes sense to get them to use the official PrimeFaces.org repo rather than a 3rd party repo anyway.
Thanks in advance
Jonny

6.2 is the official community release available on Maven Central: https://search.maven.org/artifact/org.p ... es/6.2/jar
Those RC1 RC2 jars on Primefaces repos were BETA version of 6.2 before the final 6.2 release.
