Carousel header

Hi

I am trying to use carousel and the design of it has very bad UX. I have never seen a carousel with a header and even worse the scroll, previous and next buttons are in the header.
How can I move the previous, next buttons on the sides of the carousel and the scroll on the bottom and also remove header completely.
As far as I can see the only thing that reminds a carousel out of this control is the items list
