can I stop the double tab action in picklists?

I'm using this module https://www.primefaces.org/primeng/#/picklist but I want to have a specific action when double tabbing an item instead of moving it to the other list (calling a method).
I figured I could use (dblclick)="refresh($event);" to call my method but the problem is that the item still moves to the other list. is there a way to stop the item from moving to the other list or at least move it back immediately when double tabbing?
