Nested P-table with check box selection

Hello All,
I have a scenario where I render data in nested p-table. On expansion of a row a tabular data is shown using p-table. The tables have the check box in header and row, the issue that I am facing now is when I expand a row and if I check the checkbox, the underlying nested table/grid check box does not get checked. The other way also - when I select the child grid header checkbox, the parent row does not get checked.
Appreciate if anyone can give me some inputs on how this can be achieved.
