Responsive paginator

Hi all,
I would like to have a "responsive" paginator in my dataView component, showing 5 pageLinks above a breakpoint, 3 pageLinks otherwhise.
I tried to dynamically set the pageLinks property from my component logic, but the changes dont have any effect on the paginator UI (I tried the built-in dataView paginator and the standalone paginator both).

Can you suggest how can I implement my requirement? I tried to search the forum without success.

My Angular version: 11.1.2.
My PrimeNG version: 11.2.0.
