Doubt with web.xml tag project settings

Hello,
I'm trying to run the tag folder project in Tomcat 8.5, but has not yet succeeded. I need to know: What it is for the following configuration and what happens if I remove?

<listener>
<listener-class>com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener</listener-class>
</listener>

in the web.xml file, because it is generating errors on the console. Thank you!

That is required for jetty only to start up mojarra implementation, on tomcat it will be auto configured so you can safely remove it.
