Classes not applying properly in Split Button

I am trying to put the "ui-button-danger" class in a split button(exactly the same as primeng documentation), but different from normal buttons, this one seems to have problems with the hover effect.

Has you can see in the link, the class is applied in the split button, but it still use that hover effect for default buttons(applying a dark color to it, instead of a darker red in this case).

I am using Ultma 4.2. I would appreciate if someone could help me with this one.
