HashLocationStrategy in Ultima

Is there any reason behind using HashLocationStrategy over default PathLocationStrategy in Ultima? Would it be fine to use PathLocationStrategy by default and switch to HashLocationStrategy if required?

It is just a setting for demo purposes, sure you can switch to PathLocationStrategy.
