Background color is missing for p-toggleButton

I missing the background color for the p-toggleButton
https://www.primefaces.org/ultima-ng/#/uikit/input
If I include a color directly in a sass file it works fine but by default the color is missing

:host ::ng-deep .p-togglebutton.p-button {
background: #882f2f;
}
:host ::ng-deep .p-togglebutton.p-button.p-highlight {
background: #0909df;
}

any idea?

This is by design. You can override its variables in overrides/_theme_variables.scss file.
