How best to use the landing page

I started down the path of making the landing page a component. But then there are problems with it not being able to find the css. But now I'm wondering if this is event the best way to use the landing page. Maybe it should replace the index.html? If it matters, I am using the microsoft identity stack (Azure B2C). So I'm not using a login page but instead a redirect (or a popup) to the microsoft login process. Just need some ideas. Thank you.
