Pin menu open?

Is there a way to pin the left menu open and save state? I have tried adding the activeIndex but it does not seem to have an affect.

I think you want to add state full feature for tabs components of the left menu. Right?

I believe that is what the user wants and I would definitely be interested in this as well.
