I've got a DataGrid component which has column sorting enabled. I notice that when I click a column header to trigger the sort, I see a nice "spinner" animation in the lower right hand corner of the bottom panel.
Is there a simple way to control when that animation appears?
What I would like to achieve is to have a command button on the page that via my controller bean re-queries my data source and reloads my datagrid. It would be great if I could show the animation whilst my grid reloads.
Please excuse my potential ignorance but just getting to grips with JSF and Primefaces.

We use AjaxStatus component to display animation on ajax request. You can see it in template.xhtml. Also, please see "AjaxStatus" section; https://www.primefaces.org/docs/guide/p ... de_6_2.pdf
Maybe, you can use BlockUI component with Custom content for your issue; https://www.primefaces.org/showcase/ui/ ... ckUI.xhtml
