Warn message when user is Leaving the page

Hello,
I'm developing an web-application that usually saves all updates at backing bean, and than call the methods that update DB only when the user clicks "SAVE"
actually i'm trying to avoid users mistakes when they click on Refresh/Back/"another URL" by mistake
and i want to give them a WARN message,
Are there some correct way to do this?
do you have any examples about how to do it?
