DataTable and selection index

Hi. Could you tell me how I could acquire the index of a selected row in DataTable? Or what would be even better is to associate some "datakey" with each row which would be invisible for the UI user.
Is it currently possible with PrimeReact? PS. I cannot seem to find any full Library Reference/Documentation for PrimeReact like the one which exists for PrimeFaces here: https://www.primefaces.org/documentation/. Thx.

Where do you want to access the row index? During rendering, onRowSelect or both?

I have the same need. I would expect onSelectionChange event to hold not only the row data but also the row index
