SlideMenu empty after model change

Hi,

The SlideMenu is empty after the model is updated on an menu which was opened before:

1. Open menu
2. Navigate to a slide
3. Close the menu without going back to the first slide
4. Update the menu model
5. Open menu again
6. Issue: Menu is shown empty now until one navigates back to the start slide
