Authorization in JSF with PrimeFaces

Good day! I want to create a web application using a Barcelona (PrimeFaces JSF) template. I want to ask using what technology is best to make authorization on the site? How to ensure safety? What do you advise? I read about AuthenticRoast (JSR 196). What can you say about AuthenticRoast? Is it worth using AuthenticRoast or is there something better?
