DataTable with global filter and multiple selection

I'm using DataTable with global filter and multiple selection options. When I add a filter criteria in global filter box, it filters the data correctly. When I click the selection to select all the filtered rows, it shows that the rows selected but it actually selects all the rows in the dataset instead of selecting only the rows that are returned by the global filter.
Is there a way that when I click to select all the rows on a global filtered list, it will only select those records and not all the records in the table?
