Datatable Globalfilter - Unable to Clear global filter in showcase

How is a user expected to clear a datatable global filter?

To replicate:

1. Go to the Datatable - Crud example at https://www.primefaces.org/primereact/datatable/crud/
2. Enter a "q" character into the global filter InputText control. Since no data in the table contains a "q" character, the table shows no records, as expected
3. Backspace to delete the "q" in the global filter InputText control. At this time, we would expect the table to show all records, since the filter is cleared. This does not happen. The table continues to show no records.
