5.0.x Missing MaterialIcons

Serenity 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 are not utilizing or including the Material Icons that were included in previous versions. We selected the Serenity template due to its Material Design appearance but the components are looking quite different in the latest version. Is there a plan to include the Material Icons in an upcoming release?

Hi,
We aren't planning to get the Material Icons for now. We have unique design Prime Icons in our templates.

That is disappointing. We invested in this template expecting that it would keep its Material Design appearance through upgrades and have utilized the Material Design icons in our own buttons and menu options.

Hi,
No worries. You can use any icon library in PrimeReact components. I have added the template option to almost most of them. Therefore, you can easily change the components you want. All you have to do is to include Material Icon fonts in the project. We are ready to give any kind of support in this regard.
