Hi all,

I am wondering whether the theme designer is able to import earlier created (and probably exported) designs.
My main desire is to make simple changes in the visual editor, without having to rebuild the full theme for each tweak.

Can anybody give insight in how this part of the system works?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Kev

Hi,

In our roadmap, we have a plan to move our designer-like structures to Saas. In this way, we'll easily solve such problems. But for now, it'd be better for you to make changes to _variables.scss instead of the local editor. The most suitable file for this is primefaces-mytheme. You can make changes on it and then use the sass command to generate new themes anytime.

Hi ,

Importing in theme designer refers to the process of bringing in an existing design or template into a theme editor or design tool. This can be done by uploading a file or by copying and pasting code. Importing can save time and effort when designing a theme as it allows designers to start with a pre-existing design and modify it as needed. However, it's important to ensure that any imported elements are compatible with the platform and do not violate any copyright or licensing agreements. Additionally, designers should thoroughly review and test the imported elements to ensure they function properly and do not negatively impact the overall design.
