Bootstrap - does primeng use the bootstrap classes?

In the documentation I found the following:
Free Bootstrap Theme for PrimeNG -
PrimeNG does not depend on bootstrap in any way however if you need to use PrimeNG components with it, we have a free theme based on bootstrap styling. The theme itself also does not require bootstrap and can be used standalone as well.


Does this mean I can use primgeng with bootstrap classes? If found the above info a bit confusing. Our designer has a custom CSS stylesheet and will not want to redo it to support prime-ng classes and such...

Bootstrap theme gives a bootstrap look to the components, it does not use bootstrap classes. You may need to get to know PrimeNG theming more if you need to apply your custom stylesheet, PrimeNG does not know about bootstrap in the end.
