Delta Theme Missing

I'm in the midst of updating a site from Angular 2.0.0 to 4.0.0 and primeng 1.0.0 to the current release, and I noticed that the delta theme no longer exists. It appears that it was deleted back in December, and I was just wondering why that was. I could understand deprecating it if no one was using it, but it's kind of a pain to have to restyle so many elements on the site around a new theme. Was there any notice that it was going to be deprecated? And how can I be sure that the theme I pick next isn't going to be deprecated as well? Maybe I just missed an announcement somewhere, but I find it frustrating to have to redo so much work because of changes in an element I presumed to be stable.
