The majority of the examples are using dynamic columns with no formatting, alignment or column sizing. Who does that in the real world? I would expect number columns with format pipes and with proper local alignment, columns with the proper sizing based on field size, etc.
I agree that the p-datatable has performance issues but Is this what we have to sacrifice to have a high performing table? Other grids are implementing rendering only within the viewable cells. Have the PrimeNG engineers explored that?
p-table TurboTable - Am I Missing Something?
I just went back to the example page they have for the deprecated p-datatable and found that they use the same type of presentation that they use for the turbo table. I would suggest that the examples show a better representation of how the table would be with a production application.
