Required validation of AutoComplete

Hi,

I am using PrimeNG AutoComplete (as a ComboBox) on a Form with FormBuilder.
Need to implement Required validation on form Submit, tried a bunch of things,
but it either doesn't work at all, or starts showing Required error before the form is Submitted.
Can anyone show how to do it right?

Also, how to do Required validation on Month Picker (Calendar) ?
I am using PrimeNG v.6
