How to Upgrade Just a Single Component

Hello, I have been using the ListBox component in PrimeNG Version 5.2.1. Unfortunately, it is not accessible so I need to upgrade it. I am using Angular 5 as well as some components that have since expired such as the datagrid component. I notices that the latest version of the ListBox component is accessible. I was wondering if there is a way of upgrading a specific component without upgrading the entire library.

If this is not possible, am I allowed to copy the latest source code into my code and create a new custom component based on that code?

Any options on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
