Datatable: How to filter null values

Hello,

I am new to react and primereact and have a first question, that I can't come up with a solution yet.

I have a datatable with a list of customers and one of the columns is a valid_to column with null if the customer is still active or a date, when the work for this customer ended.

I want to filter active / not active customers. but I can't filter for null, because that resets the filter, right?

So how can I filter for null-values then?

If that is not possible... I could for example replace null in a template with "-", but how do i filter the template output?
