Multiline Chips?

The chips functionality is great and exactly what I need, however I have some fields binded to chips that could potentially have more values than can visibly be shown in a single line. By default the chips component starts hiding values to the left as more values are added.

Is there any way to have chips grow vertically when more values are added, similar to the way a textarea works? If not, is there anyway to have a textarea behave like a chips component?

The Angular Material chips automatically adds a new line by default when additional items are added. I may just have to use that.

v11 wraps to a new line and 9.x/10.x LTS will do it as well.
