I was looking at the Primefaces Labs Showcase (PrimeFaces 3) and when looking at the Calendar - Navigator example, I noticed that the selectOneMenus where you select the Month and the Year is still using the standard h:selectOneMenu components and not the beautifully styled new p:selectOneMenu components.

I think it would be great if we could also have these styled for consistency reasons and now that I think of it, the selectOneMenu for selecting the year never worked that elegantly for selecting a year more that 10 years in the past. For example, when selecting the date of birth for a person aged in their 30s would require you to open the year selectOneMenu 3 times and going back in 10 year increments. Back when the PrimeFaces calendar was still using yui, the calendar navigation allowed for typing the year and that definately had its uses.

I definitely agree. It would be nice if the year field is editable to quickly enter the year you need.

@Optimus, it seems like a minor enhancement, but it is much more user friendly. Can you take a look at it?
